The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre is an extremely important organisation in protecting young people both online and in the ‘real’ world.
Dedicated to eradicating the sexual abuse of children, CEOP’s work is vital in the ‘always connected’ world in which we live in.
Professionals who work with young people, from Teachers to Scout Leaders, can undertake the half day ThinkUKnow course in order to deliver the presentation to young people aged between 11 and 16 years old. Ambassador courses (full day) allow you to cascade train other professionals by running your own half day courses.
It is vital that all young people are trained on the dangers of the internet.
Take a look at who CEOP are and what they do below;
Check out www.thinkuknow.co.uk and www.ceop.police.uk for more information about CEOP’s work.
Future blogs: I’ll be writing some blogs on how to keep safe online, and how adults can help keep young people safe when using the internet to communicate. Watch this space!
