Poacher Opening Ceremony Highlights. I edited a highlights package which was to be shared on Social Media. Due to this, I focused on the young people attending the event, rather than the stage events, in order to generate engagement from parents seeing their child having a great time. Filmed by: Daniel Haigh, Thomas Procter and ...
Poacher International Scout Jamboree is a UK based Scout and Guide Jamboree in Lincoln. Poacher is every 4 years and is held at the Lincolnshire Show Ground. I originally attended Poacher back in 2013 as a member of the small Video Team (2 people). This year, I returned as a member of the Video Team, ...
Back in June, I was part of the team helping capture the fun and ‘space’ adventure at Fundays. The event is split over two Scout Adventures sites, Gilwell Park and Woodhouse Park. Here is the video we shot over the weekend. Edited by Chris Frankland; Shot by Chris Frankland, Daniel Haigh and Krissie Brookes
I’ve been volunteering in Scouting for nearly 13 years! (nearly 9 as an adult and 4 years as a young leader). Scouting has given me many things, from life changing experiences to learning new skills, who I am, is all down to Scouting! However, nothing prepared me for what happened last weekend. This is one of the most memorable moments for me from the 21st World Scout Jamboree, held in Chelmsford, UK, during Scouting’s Centenary in 2007. 40,000 Scouts from around the world gathered together for a live link up to Brownsea Island, Poole, Dorset, UK, where the then Chief Scout, Peter Duncan, led the mass promise ...
During the 22nd World Scout Jamboree, in Rinkaby, Sweden, the theme was ‘Simply Scouting’. All contingents were encouraged to build gateways and structures on their little campsite in a field of 40,000 Scouts! This is one of my favourite photos showing the building of these gateways!
One of my photos from 2010 when 4th Golcar Scout Group visited Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland. Even though I know there has been no editing on this photo, it still doesn’t look real! What do you think?
