Kandersteg 2015

Kandersteg 2015
During the Summer of 2015, 4th Golcar returned to Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC) for 10 amazing days full of fun and adventure. I worked on creating media content during the event which included both photography, video and even a radio interview. Together with a few other leaders we captured the event with the help ...

Volunteering… sometimes it just makes you feel excited, valued and proud! 5

I’ve been volunteering in Scouting for nearly 13 years! (nearly 9 as an adult and 4 years as a young leader). Scouting has given me many things, from life changing experiences to learning new skills, who I am, is all down to Scouting! However, nothing prepared me for what happened last weekend. Sitting, waiting, praying the ...

The World in a Field
A World Scout Jamboree. A place of respect, friendship, team work, beliefs, different cultures and most of all –  peace. Together we can all aim for World Peace!

High Ropes!

High Ropes!
This photo was taken in 2010 in Kandersteg, Switzerland during our ‘trip of a lifetime’, to Kandersteg International Scout Centre. It’s another of my favourite photos from the trip, this took a couple of attempts to get focused correctly, but I think it’s just about there!

Sunrise Ceremony!

Pioneering on a World Class Scale!

Pioneering on a World Class Scale!
During the 22nd World Scout Jamboree, in Rinkaby, Sweden, the theme was ‘Simply Scouting’. All contingents were encouraged to build gateways and structures on their little campsite in a field of 40,000 Scouts! This is one of my favourite photos showing the building of these gateways!

Is this real? 1

Is this real?
One of my photos from 2010 when 4th Golcar Scout Group visited Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland. Even though I know there has been no editing on this photo, it still doesn’t look real! What do you think?
