Paralympic London

Paralympic London
This photo was taken during the Paralympic Games in September 2012. We were in London for Gilwell Reunion 2012, at Gilwell Park, Chingford, and we decided to have a tour around the key landmarks. This happened to include a cycle ride on a Boris Bike!

Marsden Moor after a snow fall

Marsden Moor after a snow fall
I ended up getting wet feet to get this photo, thanks to the snow for covering up the drainage ditch at the side of the road! This photo was taken in December 2011.

High Ropes!

High Ropes!
This photo was taken in 2010 in Kandersteg, Switzerland during our ‘trip of a lifetime’, to Kandersteg International Scout Centre. It’s another of my favourite photos from the trip, this took a couple of attempts to get focused correctly, but I think it’s just about there!

Is this real? 1

Is this real?
One of my photos from 2010 when 4th Golcar Scout Group visited Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland. Even though I know there has been no editing on this photo, it still doesn’t look real! What do you think?

The M62 at night

The M62 at night
Quite a bit of camera shake on this one due to the high winds, but its slightly better than my last attempt. I’ll try again at some point!

An Inclusive and Diverse Movement

The Scout Association has recently announced the consultation on the revised fundamentals of the movement. You can find the updated fundamentals on scouts.org.uk/fundamentals But what does this actually mean? The revised fundamentals updates the purpose of Scouting and the Scout method but most importantly replaces ‘the principles of Scouting’ with ‘the values of Scouting’. But ...
